Launch of the 2nd edition of the course programme: Port cities and sustainable development

On October 2023, AIVP is launching the 2nd edition of its new distance learning programme created in partnership with the International Institute of Ports Cities (IIPC), based in Chile. This programme is aimed at decision-makers who have to act and develop their activities within the City-Port ecosystem. Sabah Zrari, Academic Director of the course programme and founder of IIPC, and Bruno Delsalle, Managing Director of AIVP, discuss this initiative, which completes the range of services offered by AIVP in support of its 2030 Agenda.

New edition of the Port Center Network Meeting shows increasing interest on the concept

The seventh meeting of the AIVP’s Port Center Network took place in Dunkirk, France on the 22nd and 23rd of June 2023. The gathering was extremely successful, bringing the biggest audience so far for this kind of meetings - almost 50 participants from 4 continents. The event was also the best possible setting for the signature of the Port Center Charter by the Dunkirk Port Authority, the Dunkirk Urban Community and the Port Museum of Dunkirk, all partners of the Port Center of Dunkirk.

The GreenTech Conference 2023, organized by Green Marine, witnessed the active participation of the AIVP (International Association of Cities and Ports), emphasizing sustainable solutions for the maritime sector. In the session "International Perspectives," Caya Hein, representing the AIVP, highlighted the importance of collaboration and knowledge sharing in shaping a greener future for port cities. The AIVP and Green Marine share a joint aim of greening and sustainable developing the port ecosystem.
